Singapore, formally the Republic of Singapore 新加坡共和国 is an island city-state and the smallest country in South East Asia.
More than 90 % of singapore`s population lives in housing estates constructed by the Housing Development Board and nearly half uses the public transport system daily.
Singapore is also know as the Lion City. The name Singapore is derived from malays words singa ( lion ) and pura ( city ) which were themselves derived from the Sanskrit words.
Singapore is a republic with a Westminister system of a unicameral parliamentary government representing different constituencies of Singapore.
